Paris from the air
This photograph was taken from one of our helicopters on a transfer across the city. Seen from a few hundred feet, Paris is remarkably compact: the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Montmartre all fit in one frame, which is one reason helicopter transfers between Le Bourget and the city’s heliport at Issy-les-Moulineaux are so popular with clients arriving by private jet.
Arriving in Paris by private jet
Paris Le Bourget is Europe’s busiest business aviation airport and sits just north-east of the city. From London the flight is under an hour; from Biggin Hill or Farnborough a light jet lands around fifty minutes after take-off. A chauffeur car meets the aircraft on the apron, and the drive into central Paris takes thirty to forty-five minutes depending on the hour.
Helicopter transfers
Helicopter flights within Paris are tightly regulated and operate from Le Bourget to the Issy heliport in the south-west of the city, cutting the transfer to around ten minutes. We arrange these with a local operator as part of the trip. For Versailles, the Loire châteaux or a Champagne house, a direct helicopter from Le Bourget is often possible.
