Private jet Ski destination airports:
Choosing the right airport for the slopes
The Alps are well served by airports that private jets can use, and the right one depends on the resort. private jet to Geneva is the all-rounder for the French and Swiss resorts, with a dedicated business aviation terminal and transfer times of one to two hours to Verbier, Courchevel, Val d'Isère and Chamonix. Sion is closer to Verbier and Crans-Montana when the weather allows, Chambéry and Grenoble serve the Three Valleys, and Innsbruck or Salzburg cover the Austrian resorts.
Equipment and luggage
Skis and boards travel in the hold of most light and mid-size jets without trouble; tell us how many sets are coming and we will match the aircraft. A Citation XLS or Phenom 300 takes a family of six with full winter luggage. For larger groups a mid-size or heavy jet avoids squeezing anyone in.
Why clients fly private for ski weeks
- Saturday changeover days are the worst of the year at the big airports; a private flight bypasses the queues entirely.
- You choose the time, so you can ski on arrival day and on departure day.
- Dogs travel in the cabin with the right paperwork.
- A helicopter transfer from the airport to the resort helipad is available for several resorts.
See our guide to private jets to the ski resorts, or send your dates and resort for a quote. Prices depend on the aircraft, the date and the airport, and we quote one fully inclusive figure.
