Cheltenham Festival 2027: book your helicopter early
The Cheltenham Festival 2027 runs from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 March 2027, with the Cheltenham Gold Cup on the final day, Friday 19 March. Spend more time at the races and less time in the car. Race-day aircraft and landing slots at the course are limited, so the earlier you enquire, the more choice you have.

Helicopters to the Cheltenham Festival
The Festival week in March is the busiest four days of the year for helicopter charter in England. Thousands of racegoers arrive by air because the roads into Cheltenham are gridlocked from mid-morning, while a helicopter from London Battersea lands beside the racecourse about 35 minutes after lift. Aircraft and landing slots at the course are limited, so the earlier you book the more choice there is.
Aircraft for race days
We fly the Agusta 109 Grand and Agusta 109 Power for parties of up to six, and twin-engine EC135 and AS355 helicopters for four or five. For larger groups two helicopters fly together so everyone arrives for the first race.
Departure points
Battersea is the usual London departure, with Denham, Elstree, Redhill and Fairoaks all used for clients north and south of the city. Private sites near your home are often possible with the landowner's permission. Flights also run from Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.
Flight times, the racecourse helipad arrangements and what happens on the day are on the Cheltenham helicopter charter page. For availability on a specific race day, call +44 20 7781 8094.
